Linda Kilworth

Dietitian

Linda has over 30 years of experience as a dietitian and nutritionist. Linda primarily focuses on weight loss and management, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease, food allergies, geriatric nutrition, and general lifestyle and healthy eating advice. 

After qualifying as a dietitian, Linda started a private practice focussing on weight loss and did locum work for Queensland Health at the Prince Charles Hospital and Ipswich General Hospital. She later started working at Canossa Private Hospital and RSL Care (now Bolton-Clarke). In these roles she worked as a clinical dietitian and later progressed into management and auditing positions. Linda also worked as a consultant dietitian for the Australian Army and was an Officer in the Army reserve, reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Linda has published a number of research papers on biochemistry and metabolism and has contributed to numerous books and textbooks. She has also written articles for various local newspapers, Army News, and Aged Care newsletters. Linda is passionate about education and has taught at Griffith University, Bond University, and James Cook University. She is currently a guest lecturer at Bond University and a subject coordinator at James Cook University for their Allied Health Rural Generalist Program.
